Default Ingram Micro - Kingston flash memories

Hi mates,

I’m trying to get hold of Kingston flash memory cards such as Kingston SD 1GB Standard retail pack from big distributors like Ingram Micro so I figure out if I get any better pricing than what my current supplier provides and if it’s worth setting up an account with them.

I was just wondering if anyone has an account with one of these big distributors and can get me some pricing info on Kingston Secure Digital (SD) products such as 1gb standard.

Thanks for your help beforehand.
Omid

Did you ever find flash prices of Ingram Micro? I am in the same spot as you are, I am thinking of opening an account with Ingram and Techdata but I have heard that their prices are really bad, unless you buy millions from them.

I know the post is old, but oh well.

I costs nothing to open an account. Just an hour on paperwork. Do it and see for yourself.

I bought from both them with an open account throughout the 1990's and found that while they may not always be the cheapest, they had to stuff in stock and their assigned sales reps were better educated than I was. Their peope are a real asset.

And you can buy a lot of stuff in reseller packs, instead of retail packaging. This cuts the cost per unit considerably with a lot of products.

Instead of begging someone to check for you, open an account and find out for yourself. It's not a big deal.

Hi Omid,

We can provide "Kingston flash memory cards". You can go to our online store, here, to have a look or PM me for detail. Thanks.

Ingram micro is not really going to help as their prices are retail prices, so don't really expect any profit to be made if not a loss on eBay.

WorldofSoftware, you must be as your forum title suggests, a newbie trader. Ingram Micro is one of the top 2 or 3 tech distributors in the world. And like many large, even huge, companies, the more you buy from them, the less you pay.

I sort of smile to myself when in my local Sam's Club (a wholesale division of Wal-Mart) and see Ingram shown as the supplier on a number of computer related items. They are selling to the world's largest retailer for resale at "wholesale" and you say Ingram sells at retail?

Like a lot of companies, with Ingram and TechData (the other biggie), cash talks.

BTW, the Ingram family also owns what is probably the biggest book distribuion company in the world, as well. They have receiving it in one door, breaking it down and shipping it out another door down pat.
