Default Abbey Free Business Account

Hello people i was wondering if you could help me out. Im in the process of creating my own online store selling a few products using cubecart. I know nothing about payment processors/gateways etc. Should i sign up for the abbey free business account, do they supply a merchant gateway or am i completely lost.

Anyhelp is greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Chris

Abbey's free banking is great and as a small trader you are not likely to go over their limits before you have to pay.

But, a merchant account is not given to you. I can not be certain, but i think to have a merchant account with them you can not have the free business account.

With Cubecart though, you can use other payment methods such as Paypal which is all integrated and easy to follow to set up.

You are correct.
You get your payments through Paypal and then you can transfer to your bank as and when you want.
Regarding Paypal, you might want to look at setting your account up as a business one.

As for the benefits of having a business account, it is easier to manage your business finances and you can keep all your business cash away from your personal cash.
If, like me, you work full time and run a business, it is well worth doing.

Having a business account also makes your business look more professional.
Would you prefer to pay 'my personal name' or 'my business name'?
