Hi, I sometimes sell "on the boot" as we call it with my sister. It's punishing if you do it every Sunday. Up at 5, pick up sis, load up and in the queue for 6.30. Gates open at 7.30. Punters in by 8.30. Over for 12 - 12.30. Unload and home by 2.00. Exhausting. There are weeks we only take £30 (minus £7.00 entrance + £2 petrol) not great! Our best week we took about £140. we sell batteries, good seller, perfume is a fab seller, 2nd hand baby clothes on a good day shifts too... So yeah, I reckon if you have the stamina and some good stuff, it's a good little filler!

More and more boot sales sell new stuff and most big boots allow traders.I have been doing boots for years in the tamworth area. I find that if you sell quality at a good price people come back also its a great place to advertise your own web site. By the way i sell orange sims with £1.00 credit for £1.25 and sell a load, small profit but the people keep comming back.

I sell at the boot sale and do very well out of it.. I tried simcards one week and sold one for £1 so i havent bothered since. But saying that I cater for kids so most people dont look and notice the sims. I havent bothered with the sims since and have dumped the 200 sim cards I have in the back of tha garage. In my opinion its not worth my hassle of lumping them about. plus my stock fills my land rover discovery and 6ft trailer so I cant fit them on anymore.

All in all though boot sales are a fantastic way to make money. I make more on there than ebay and my online shop in a week and I only have to work 6 hours on the sunday.
