Default Car booty!

Right guys, I wasn't quite sure where to post this but I thought trading advice was most appropriate.

I jus wondered how many people sell at boot sales? I don't mean 2nd hand stuff from the garage, more traders who sell new products. After selling a few bits and bobs on ebay I thought about giving it a go at a local car booty. I'm thinking of buying a few little bits such as usb sticks and memory cards for phones etc.
Another idea I got by visiting the boot sale last week was sim cards, a guy had about 10 on each network and was selling them for £2 each. Bearing in mind you can get a number of these free online I thought it was a good idea!

So basically I guess i'm asking for any more ideas of little bits and bobs I can pickup relatively cheap with good sellability, as my table will be pretty bare otherwise! I'd also like to hear about other sellers who regularly sell at boot sales and how successful they are.

I should also add that they charge £8 to sell so I want to make a fair bit more than that!

Any input is appreciated, thanks guys!

I have had great sucess at car boot sales i offer a range of items from things for a couple of quid to games upto £35. it has gone from being an old paste table to a full stall. You will also get return customers every week if you can constantly supply the same products. the last 4-5 weeks have been great with the weather but that can be the downside if the weather is bad then it is not worth doing one.

i also sell budget dvds brand new and sealed that get a lot of interest

I went to Frome market Ash

It's interesting to hear about you selling games wba1, whenever I think of boot sales I can't help but think of people looking for 2nd hand bargains, was never really sure how well games would sell. Same sort of thing with DVDs, there's often people selling 2nd hand DVDs but not many seem to sell new. These two things would definately be my first choice if there was sufficient demand.

The good thing about Frome market is that it's in a cattle market so you can often use a covered pitch

Try something small and of low value. Electronics, Games, DVD's, CD's, etc. are not always the best items because people may think they are faulty. Last time I sold at a car boot I was selling Novelty notes and Pokemon Cards (these sold especially well).

i agree with pt games my friend does well with trading cards, he also had a range of licensed keyrings, avatar pokemon etc that also sold. another good item at this time of year that had done well for him was water pistols, and low price badminton sets etc. Dogs toys can also do well if it open air because a lot of people walk there dogs around the boot sales.

I've always been interested by this, can you actually go and sell brand new products? or is it against "Car Boot sale laws" ? I don't know if there are rules you have to follow...

I know from previous experience the council run boot sales in manchester was second hand goods only. The others were fine a mixture of old and new.A quick phone call could be wortwhile to check. You can sell anything new within the laws.Trading standards would also keep a check on the boot sales.Remember seeing a programme about a boot sale in leeds which featured them arresting fake dvd sellers.Everyone is after a bargain at a car boot.Cheap items and a full stall should attract buyers.
