Default Three Product Sourcing Rules to LIVE by:

Here are some things to keep in mind when looking for products to sell:

1) You don't have to personally like the product.
2) For long term product sourcing skills, you HAVE to be able to find products yourself.
3) The easier the product source is to find, the more competition you will have. Don’t shy away from the search! Don’t follow the path. Create your own. Think outside the box.

Simple isn't it

Not dis aggreeing with you. Very valid points.

But actualy liking the product can help, i used to sell phones, then started a phone shop, it helps actualy liking the products you sell, as generaly you can sell products.

On the other hand, it can be exciting to learn about new products that you no absolute nothing about.

I agree, but the point being that if you limit it to products that you like then your are simply limiting your market potential, the statement doesn't say you CANT like the products you sell just that you don't HAVE to like them..a mistake that so many make.

I used to advise people to start out with a product that they are interested in however I no longer say this and now advise to research based on profit potential and effort requirement, one of the recent areas I have invested in has no interest to me, its a feminine product, (unless its a Saturday night!!) but is giving great returns.
