Hi All

Much help needed please. I've been searching for dresses, and wholesalers and have a few and have got some dresses - to get an understand of the quality etc. Now I need to start working on the bigger picture. I feel like most of the suppliers are actually getting their stock from China - which is not so great. I'm also wondering if we'd be better of designing our own clothes and getting someone to make them (we have design experience) but don't know if we could ever afford to order in mass bulk. Feel like I'm treading water a bit. The best dresses seem to be from the US... but I ordered a few dresses from the States before and ended up paying more tax than the dresses actually cost.
Anyone got any good tips for me?
Cheers, Katie

For all the political hype about USA-UK kinship, trade tariffs between the two countries are generally high (there are exceptions but textiles are not one, so no flames, please, I'm telling the truth).

If you wish to try getting your own designs made up, I'd try UK - seriously, Yorkshire/Lancashire still have good textiles businesses - eastern Europe, Turkey/Southern Europe/Middle East and Far East/South Asia. In that order.
