Default Buying Postage Online

Royal Mail have for some time offered a service where you can Buy Postage Online, do any of you use such a service?

I am considering developing a site where it provides links (Aff. Links of course) where you can buy stationery, printer consumables, postage etc all from one site.

Would this be something that you would use?

What would be your requirements to use such a site?

I have the domain name www.buypostageonline.co.uk (dead link) and am now in the planning stage so any feedback greatly appreciated.

You mean like Viking Direct, Woolworths, WhSmith, Staples and Office World to name just a few?

I see where your coming from but I don't think that becoming an affiliate and advertising stationary would be successful.

I would think that they would rather go directly to one of the main stationary sellers (Like Anthony mentioned), I can't think of anything that would bring them to your site.

I can't see what you could offer, many affiliate sites will do a price comparison or reviews but I can't imagine people comparing the price of a pack of ballpoints to try and get 2p off.

How do you expect to make any money? I know affiliates get commission on each sale they refer but surely your only going to be making pennies per sale and will need a huge number of buyers to make it worthwhile. Although this can be done it would take loads of money and time and I really don't think it is worth it.

Any seasoned seller would not shop at the main high street stationery shops when you can get the same stuff half price from stationery/packing wholesalers with no MOQ.
