So, I am actually beyond "noob," I am actually a newbie. That means I haven't even got my feet wet in the world of wholesale business, I'm just looking at the water waiting to dive in. I've been contemplating about starting a business for the longest of time, and I've just now decided that I want to make it an actual venture. I'm not exactly sure why it took two years for my entrepreneur side to kick in, but it finally has and now I'm researching everything as much as I possibly can.

I could rant on and on about what I've thought about and what I've researched, the things that I have planned and the timeline I'm looking at, but plain and simple I need help trying to figure everything out. Just to give you a list of things I've been going over (and feel completely lost with), here are some of the topics that I ponder about frequently:
- Finding a wholesale supplier
- Purchasing a vast amount of product
- Finding out which medium would be the best to sell
- Selling enough product to continually move up the income ladder
- Being able to be my own boss by the time I'm 35 (I'm 22)
- Having enough equity and wealth to pass on to my child and wife
- Do all of this and still stay in college.

So here is what I've been researching (in question form). Exactly where should I start selling product? What product should I sell (as for now I'm thinking about selling health and fitness products and supplements, along with adult toys)? Where do I find these wholesalers, at trade shows or through online lists? Where can I find trade shows? How do I handle sales? How do I become incorporated, and what protections do I get besides the obvious legal entity of its own? How do I handle taxes and payroll? How do I pay myself? Is it possible I can NOT pay myself and bank all the money in an account for future purchases? Can I pay myself later?

Obviously I have a lot of questions, and half of them are about business itself. But I figured that I can find a good e-book that can explain all of that, hopefully. But there are some e-books out there that can explain to you why the sky is blue without actually telling you why, know what I mean? Same thing with wholesale e-books. This is where you come in.

Basically, I am an interested entrepreneur looking at new horizons, and I want to charge at those horizons without faltering one bit. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I will not be trying to go in to business until 2009, unless I receive some unexpected capital and then I'll have to sleep on it. My biggest thing is becoming incorporated first so I can start making purchases through the corporation. That's the only thing I have set in stone. Everything after that is happenstance right now, so guidance, like I said, would be greatly appreciated.

Holy crap batman thats alot of questions....where to start, well if you hang around these forums for long enough people will soon tell you that nobody can tell you what to sell, and even fewer people will tell you where to find it.My advice would be (and you'll hear this alot too!!) is to focus on something that you have an interest in,or experience in selling in,that way you have already got the experience/passion for your product.
Seems like you have got a 10 year grand master plan laid out in front of you, well scrap the kids inheritance idea,'cos things aren't that easy i'm afraid it takes alot of hard work to get things off the ground and many people will tell you that they even ran at a loss at first just so they could get a customer base.
As for the easy route of ebooks beware you will probably be wasting your time and money, same goes for wholesale suppliers lists/ebooks,save your cash!!
In regard to the incorporated business thing i cant help you i'm afraid, but good luck anyhoo!!!

Hey mate I'm knew as well so I can't offer much advise. Although I will tell you that from talking to people that are experienced with all this that its almost like a form of gambling there are ways to reduce/remove some risks but there is always some risk there. Where you mentioned about charging into it just be careful as you said you have a child. This Business can can make you rich or make you live out of a shoe box if your not careful. As to finding wholesalers, welcome to my my world :P all I no is though that persistence is finding me more information and will surely lead to a bigger wholesaler list. Good luck mate sorry Icouldn't help much

Sorry my friend...... I dont see a question....

para 1 offers some background on you....
para 2 is a list of items you ponder.....
para 3 a list of things you have researched in question form [rhetorical]..........
para 4 states this is where we come in........
para 5 asks for nonspecific advice and guidance

what exactly do you want to know?

If you are looking for a one horse race with 100/1 odds.... there are none
If you think setting up a corporation/company makes you or your corporation/company invulnerable..... it doesnt
If you think somewhere there is a market place with just you in it... there isnt and if there was you wouldnt be alone for long.
If you think everyone starts with vast quantities of stock.... you must think everyone has a huge bankroll...... they dont.... on both counts

I can see a lot of vented frustration in your post.... with which I can empathise..... but no real question to which an answer can be found
