No people are stupid, people are desperate - Tesco will sell out of the new console or game first as they are lower priced but rather than wait for Tesco to restock (if its nintendo that could be a while) they will buy elsewhere. Look at Wii Fit - £100+ people are charging now and selling.

Have to remember as well that GAME are not a Billion Pound company and dont sell other things to compensate. Do you know how much Tesco lose on some of their products. The Gamestation staff will tell you what their shop is doing one shop is not the whole company.

lol, The supply and demand thing is a abit of a different issue though isnt it? I cant help but agree with the 'people are stupid' bit, I thought i was harsh lol.

I just know there are lots of people up and down the UK that will not shop at game, they are self confessed hardcore gamers though! and that in all fairness is not 'Games' target market, it is, as you say the stupid ones and the parents imo.

Game will always be around, but I just chuckle when i here them faultering, just my synical side lol!

i think people still dont associate tesco with games, they go round the shopping centre see a Games store and just go in but dont shop around as such.

This is true, plus they think theyll get good guidance and help with impartial advice! that always tickles me, as what they really get is over priced software sold to them by a teenaged zealot who says "buy 360, PS3 sucks!! while blasting some heavy metal music out into the shop. Very parent friendly lol, youd think theyd learn and go to asda lol!

I only buy from game if I've just been the cash point and discovered I have an extra 40 quid in and cant be arsed walking home and ordering a game from the internet or they have something which everywhere else has sold out of eg. the Wii which I sold anyway..

To be fair, Sony or XBOX should pull their finger out & make a flamin' descent console system! The PS3 is hardly "phenominal", certain games still lacking crisp graphics & gameplay (i.e: Kayne & Lynch - nice game, but some of the video story shots are awful! & loads of glitches in multiplayer mode.) Also the nintendo wii - don't get me wrong, the interactive play is a step up - but again, the graphics are in simple terms "s***e"!!!

Game & console developers should really look into it & create some serious gaming system!

I must say though - Call of duty 4, definately my top pick!

Nintendo always said that the graphics on the Wii were never going to be up there with PS3 but were going more for the playability side which they have done very well. The Wii2 or whatever it will be is supposed to have a major upgrade with graphics.

In fairness to the current models out there, which are now couple of years old, they are doing very well and at the time of release where a major step forward. Millions of consoles sold and still selling.
To create a super machine if you like would be a disaster for retail and wholesale as the price tag would completely keep it out of reach of the everyday person. At present prices could not go any higher, 40 - 50 Euro for new game is a push for anyones budget.
