Does not have to be popular, just prime.

My area is not popular, its not wealthy, its nearest Tesco or Asda is 5 minute drive away, my location is 1 minute walk from every housing estate.

My location is full of kids, young adults and old, which spreads the audience out abit.

Price will not be high compared to elsewhere due to being a council mainly estates.

But potential for gamers is high, and a risk that could well be taken.

My advice is that the Games industry isn't really the best one to go into as it's simply too hard to compete like a few people have mentioned. Although, if you really want to go for it I would definetely go for an internet shop over a high-street shop because its just so much cheaper. Also, if you read up on the internet a bit there are ways to get your website with a high ranking on Google, Ask, Yahoo etc so if you worked hard at it there are customers out there to be had. However, my personal view is that the industry moves too quickly for the new business in that new games are constantly being released so until you built up some sort of reputation you'd probably be constantly wasting money on unsold stock because they've become outdated and you didn't have enough customers to sell to. All in all if you're really intent on doing it then be prepared for a lot of work to get up and running, but otherwise my advice is to find another market to go into.
