Default New marketing niche - nice! :))

I've stumbled across a little niche... Not sure how many of you live near clubs, pubs, hotels e.t.c... but you'd be amazed at how many places actually run out of ice cubes on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday night! I recently purchased an ice cube maker & a chest freezer, selling 4 stone bags of ice for £10 plus £5 delivery (guarenteed delivery within 30 mins) - approx making around £150 minimum per week, just an idea for all you forum traders

Note: However, if you step on my turf then i'll be sending the boys round lol!

I don't wish to p*ss on your parade but don't you have to be registered with the council/environment and health and have the appropriate/certificate issued hygiene standards in place?

Not sure about that - no-ones said anything before you have? (not even the venues that have been buying these bags from me).

But anyways - it's a nice little earner & just felt it may appeal to some newbies.

As for popcorns reply - can anyone tell me what he means? is there a translator here please?

Basically what he meant was, why would people want to order from you when they can get one of there staff to go to Tesco to buy ice?

Great idea, but I thought that most places would have a ice maker. Well we did when I worked in Mac Donalds!!!

Good Luck with it.

Aha - well my only thoughts on that would be that they haven't got the staff to do so as tesco is quite a drive away from the local town centre... of course all the venues have ice makers, but i get ridiculous amounts of calls when they're running low, especially with some of the local clubs & pubs that reach capacity with none stop bar orders, a few places (i.e: vica versa bar) usually order 3-5 bags.

TYOLA, out of curiosity, where are you based? If you don't mind me asking.

Sorry a bit Off-Topic.
