Default Wholesale Newbie looking for some helpful advice!

Hello Everybody,

I just want to say that after finding this forum a few months ago it has changed my whole look about wholesaling.

To introduce myself, my name is Aaron. I am sixteen and attend a local secondary school. I first discovered my passion about buying and selling while searching on eBay for "Lacoste" polo shirts (which turned out to be fake) to purchase for myself. I saw that they were selling in lots of 10 and was curious where the sellers were getting there items so decided researching and found a supplier in China. I did not know about fakes, but soon learned after reading posts on different websites. Anyways, I sold about 30 shirts and made $10US profit on each shirt (before knowing about replicas). I vowed never to sell fakes again and moved on to another product. This time it was True Religion jeans, another brand overpopulated with fakes. I found a supplier that had legitimate items at a fair pirce(more than half off retail). However, I ended up not making any profit because the amount of fakes drove the prices down.

Well there's my story Sorry it was so long, but I wanted to get accross my background. I really want to begin making real profits, but don't know how to get my foot in the door. It seems like there aren't any items with enough profit. Any ideas or advice about what I should do next would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Aaron and welcome. It's good to see another youngster trying to make money.

To get you started, you should browse the forum and look at old topics and absorb the information from them.

Plumbing fittings, garden hoses, bird baths, cooking pots, quilts, vacuum cleaner bags, window treatments. There are millions of "just plain old things" that sell every day on the net. Forget the HOT stuff and find a niche.

tbh once your listing gets closed youcould have made 20 sales in that time so it is definately worth it and then after getting stopped maybe 7 or 8 times stop for a couple of weeks!
