Good idea Beneddie1112, I like the sound of that.

I'll look into it.

It would be really awesome to set up a casino. Like a little one at first next to a bar or something, and slowly grow it.. or just stick it in the bank and wait :P

From what I have read an online casino would just be a pain in the rear end to set-up, A brick & mortar one not sure of yet.

If I were to go into the gambling business I'd rather own a race track or a horse.

Edit: That idea got me going and I have just found a "Ranch" that is well within my budget in Kentucky.

Edit 2 "The Update": Scraped the golf course idea, Horse racing is the way to go.

I have emailed the realtor in the US selling a "Ranch" that I like the look of and awaiting a reply, Currently filling in an application for a horse auction to go to in december.

Will update when I can.

Buy some shares in HBOS - its sure to increase in the next week - quick short term gain while the shorting ban is operating (finished 2nd October).

Stick your £500,000 in a high interest account (say 6%) and you'll make £30,000 sitting around doing nothing

It's slightly more than that and that was my second idea but I guess the idea of owning a race horse (I used to ride horses everyday until I found I was excellent at golf) got the best of me.

5% is normal market movement - i bought at 155 and even with todays fall i have made £0.55 per share in less than a week.

Also have a look at Desire Petroleum - DES, that share could sky rocket in the coming months. I originally purchased in Febuary at around 30p a share, sold them in June for around 100p, then bought again last week at 62p. Basically they are an oil exploration company in the Falkands. If you become rich from this just send me a PM and i will let you know how you can pay my finders fee
