andy777, i think 50k is a figure for a fully stocked and brillian website but i don't think thats the way to start out.
I would say if he gets 2/3 pieces of 20 top titles(at £25 each a price advertised on here) with a £500 website he would do well, with this only costing £1750, say £250 on advertising thats £2000. Then build up stock as his website gets more popular.

I'm in Australia, I need a good starting, I all see where you are coming from. I just know video games is what I really want to do, I think in all seriousness, if I start with about 8,000 grand AU, it will give me the fees for my website paying a format layout, monthly/yearly fees etc and also probably a chance to have about 300 consoles in stock and some games.

You have to have a passion for what you do, so if that's video games for you....then go for it. Do your market research and have a good business plan before taking your first few steps. As you're in Australia, i don't know how the market is out there, but if it's anything like it is in the UK it'll be tough going to start with. The big players are the market dominators, however if you play your cards right you can certainly take a piece of the pie.....

Could be good, when having a chat to my ex best friend (git moved to oz lucky sod so now he´s ex best friend lol) the other night he said that games are very expensive over there and they rent them from shops as works out cheaper. If you could get them cheaper might be nice little earner.

What consoles can you get for about 28 AU? Do your research before spending 8000 AU

It will be a really slow and painful death...

Where the cash flow will come from? From 3 quid profit he will be making on a game? Unless he has a supplier next door where he can get stock 24h a day with a PayPal card in hands

ok, 50k is a perfect scenario but at least 20k should be invested to make this all worthwhile (at least couple of hundred quid profit per week). 5 x top consoles will set you back at least for 2 grand.
