I don't think I would bother being on a forum if you've got such an attitude problem.

Are you asking about the cost of the website, or the investment in a business keeping an inventory of the products you mentioned?

Also, you will find probably not one shopping cart owner here who uses flash, maybe a few, but very few. It's judged a distraction, not a benefit to a cart type site. You want attention directed to the products, not the flash.

Flash is very useful just for 3 occasions in e-commerce:

* To animate Menus (some)
* To cloak links (to improve PR)
* To create some kind of creative environment (at check out process for example)

Just small bits & pieces! I laugh when I see all those websites with 10 sec. flash intros It's the stupidest thing anyone could do!

Regarding your question: I think 50k GBP would be enough to get fully stocked video game online shop up and running.

50k!!! *Faints* that's 50,000GBP, which equals $115,000AU. I think I will be working for 4 years before my online business will happen, I will more than likely have to start small with ipods and save up from there...

How many pounds would you recommend to start a small Ipod shop and are ipods a good thing to start with? Any other suggestions please.

if its purely online you doing then you will need to stock and show alot more. if its a high street then stock wise you dont need alot, about 5k, go for new releases, some budget and second hand. fill up with accessories which you can get cheap too.

sorry just noticed your ipod post, i was referring to games not ipods as never dealt with them so couldnt offer advice.

I would suggest, starting off small selling through Ebay and taking it from there. As this will require little investment and will start to bring in some cash flow. Then you can take it from there.
