Need some advice please,
I have tried to open a business bank account with the abbey in the past but they turned me down (previous bad credit from the good ol' days of being young!)

Anyway, i still want to open an account with the abbey but my partner (not business partner btw) is going to open one in her name.

Will questions be asked if the bank account is in her name, but the business is registered in my name?

Bad credit ratings stay on your file for 6 years and then are removed, if it has been longer than this then speak to someone to get it sorted so your file will be clear..

You should check out http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/ for some advice. These guys are pros in dealing with banks, although the main point of their site is in claiming back bank charges they also have some useful threads about credit history which you should find useful.

Because the abbey do free business banking for life within certain limits of which i am sure i can keep.
But as my girlfriend has good credit rating we were going to do the bank in her name, but would that effect things if the business was in my name?

Put the business in her name and you can be her employee

I dont know, he said it was his girlfriend that had the good rating. I'd probably only consider that option if it were a wife.

Well if he doesn't trust her to own his business, he surely shouldn't trust her to own the money!!!

It's ok. been together for 5 years or something like that. I'm sure she can correct me!
I can trust her - i hope!
Thanks for the help, guys. I would still prefer the business in my name though.
