All of the information you require and suppliers too can be found on this resource, our community. It's lucky you stopped by, or you could be another six months down the line no further forward.

First thing is first and that's the planning part of setting up your operation. What have you done thus far?

As to suppliers, depending on your access to funds, you could either go directly to the manufacturer or contact a distributor/wholesaler where the quantities will be a lot lower.

well, to be honest, instead of buying an existing online shop, i would reccomend setting up your shop from scratch.
also, instead of buying an expensive script to start your shop, just try some of the free ones that are available first to see how you get on with it.

you will need a few things set up to get you started.
1. a domain name
2. some webspace
3. a decision on which shop script to use
4. online payment system

you will firstly need to figure out how much you are looking to spend. i have set up a shop with minimum expense in the past, and it worked out pretty well.

1. a domain name.
these can cost you anything from 99p to about £10-£15 for a year or two years, depending on if you want a .com, .co.uk name etc...

2. web space
you will need to get yourself some webspace. if you look around places like hostgator, they run some small packages that cost you about $5 per month upwards. if you only plan on having one domain name, then a small package will be fine, but if you plan on using more than one domain name, i.e. .com AND .co.uk for the same shop, then you will probably need to look at getting the bigger buisness package which allows for unlimited domain name add-ons. they are about $15 per month, so it still dont really break the bank.

3. shop scripts.
if you do decide to use hostgator, they have scripts included with the server that you start, so if you go into the server control panel, you can find (i think its in fantastico area) 3 shop scripts that are easy to install from the panel. its just a matter of deciding the address you want the shop script to reside in and clicking go, and it sets it all up for you. i have used cubecart quite successfully on this, and it meets my needs. depending on how much time you want to spend setting up depends on how well the outcome looks and works, but the basics are all in place. its then just a matter of going into your shops admin panel to set up the settings for your shop ... i.e. the currency you are using, tax's and shipping costs etc etc etc.

4. online payment system
when running a shop online, it is important to have a good online payment system to handle your payments for you, and also allows people to pay you using credit/debit card. i personally use paypal, and find this meets my needs fine, but there are plenty of other options out there, and i also reccomend maybe using more than one payment system to give the customer a choice, as sometimes you will find some people dont like using certain companies. just make sure you take into account the fee's that such companies charge.

i could go on about this subject for ages, but will shut up now, but if you have any other questions, i will do my best to help

Try using prestashop or zencart. I personally like prestashop but I haven't found good enough themes, I guess I have to make my own.

I'm looking for r/c helicopters and cars too. I was going to find out if www.rcareus.com is a legit company but I haven't gotten around to it. Try getting some info from them they have good prices. Let me know what you find out. Maybe we can split an order. Email me at charliebrownq88@gmail.com
