Searched around but couldnt find the answer, so thought i would ask.
when i register as self employed, does my tax code then change???
In essence i want to start part time and grow my business and then quit my full time job, but dont want work finding out.
Your tax code need not change. Even if it did, your employer would not know the reason why and they would assume it was a mistake.
You can elect to have your personal allowances allocated how you wish. You can either have it all against your employed earnings, all against your self em,ployed earnings or split in whatever ratio you like between the two.
