Default BaseBox.co.uk Feedback and Comments welcome.

As some of you may or may not know I will soon be launching my new website. I would be interested on your thoughts and first impressions.

There are a few changes that I already plan on making before I launch, I also plan on removing some of the catagories for the time being too. So now would be a perfect time to get an outside opinion.

I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on anything that that you think could be improved, anything you like or dislike etc. Your first impressions. If you are a buyer of Games/DVDs/Blu Ras Etc. What you would like to see on a site like this?

Thanks in advance

Looks good to me, Some of the image text has that fuzzy colour behind it, might be my computer? Other than that I like it

Too much going on in my opinion. You should make your visitors shopping experience clear and generally just easy. With so much going on it's hard to find the fundamentals, like the login area, shopping basket, and contact information. You definitely need to rethink the usability of the site. Like I said, concentrate on making it easy and make the key information instantly accessible.

The actual design of just looks a bit amateurish (at best!), the graphics are pixelated, the corners are not smooth either, your promos on the sides look really rushed and generally very poor. I can see where you were going, I just feel it hasn't been implemented very well.

Hope I don't cause offence Craig, just giving you my honest opinion. In terms of the actual products and pricing - spot on. Just a few things to sort out from the design and usability side of things I feel.

Agree with PT! (those pixelated graphics really stands out in a bad way).

Also, I would get rid off that black border or at least make it much thinner.

Finally, when you look @ your website in a small resolution (laptop) half of the screen is header section, no real offer of products is seen.

But overall it WILL look very good with some tweaks :-)

YES Craig - that is a great effort so far - not far away from being very good indeed - have you designed this yourself ?

Love it Craig. I dont think there is too much going on at all. Look at play.com now that site is busy! and noone complains.

Like the way your Terms are set out, very easy to read.

But like i said to you before the banners do look fuzzy still.

I like it Craig. Got a real good look to it. As a few have said there is some sizing issues on some of the images but all in all I think it is fab. Well done mate !

Looks nice apart from the pixelated images, once you fix those it should look nice.

Also love the 'buy now' buttons but I think they'd be better if the 'buy now' was bigger.

Well done

Pat

I like the contrast of colours - black and red. Nice layout in general.

But the free shipping image on the top right hand side is not clear. A sharper image would be perfect.

The corners on the main page are not rounded. You can see the pixels against the black border very clearly. Also I think the black border should be thinner.

Maybe the free shipping image should link to a page about your free shipping offer instead of the homepage?

Thanks for the feedback guys. Given me a lot to think about. I will revise the spelling mistakes and perhaps look at the layout of the site, the banners etc. no offence taken at all PT. I am greatful for all your feedback.

No I haven't built te site myself, It was done by another forum member. I would have no idea where to start.
