Re: feeling demotivated
We all have to start somewhere. It has to be worth a shot. If you are unsure, just scale down your idea. Start with less money (less risk) if it goes well....build up. If not then change your stratagy.
Its better to regret something you have done than something you haven't.
Good Luck

Not everybody is cut out for being self-employed. Most are happier and feel more content working 9 till 5 on a fair wage, clocking off, and forgetting all about it. Nothing wrong with that.
If you're only motivation for going into business is to live a luxurious lifestyle, I think you're very naive and maybe this isn't for you. You have to take the risk and it won't be easy. The reality is you'll probably earn LESS money! You're interests should be in growing the business not taking a huge chunk of your capital as wages. Of course, it's a different story when you start making a profit, but that takes time, the foundations must be laid first.
You're right to assume many here are running part time businesses or just starting out. Having said that, there's many regular contributors who are running established businesses.

You simply don't have the right attitude, the fact you make posts like that tells me you should try something else, maybe a traffic warden?

Im money motivated for sure. Anyone who says there is no get rich quick scheme is obviously blind. Take people like Gerard Butler the actor. Apparently he was sitting in a coffee shop in london and was approached by a head hunter. Next thing hes in the film 300 about the spartans and is earning millions.
Or
What about the creator of facebook? it started as a small site and is now worth an estimated 10 billion dollars.
There are numerous other people and things that took off bigtime but the point is its the old saying, right place, right time.
Random examples I know but it can be done.
Good luck!!!!!!!!

Re: feeling demotivated
We all want to live the luxury life style, I know i do. But I want to get my business off the ground first, I'm still in the planning stages really, have sold bits and pieces, have put some £££ in but I'm testing water with different products. Point being, its hard work from the start, I work a full 9-5 job then come home and spend anything from 7PM -2/3am trying to work out my business. I spend hours on these forums alone, reading posts, guides and just about everything else hoping I can learn. You have 7k to put in to starting a business? Thats a great start, take your time and dont put to much in (like suggessted above) until you hit on that perfect plan... I started with 0, did a little dropshipping and made a couple of quid here and there, now I'm buying bits and peices and selling good stuff at my work place. Good luck with your business and I hope one day you are sitting on the driveway of your 15 story house in your Ferrari laughing... LOL

And back to the real world!
LOL, claiming setting up a business is a get rich quick scheme, wow, that has to be one of the funniest things I've read on here?
