i feel like whats the point in me working sometimes when its not /ever enough to have the things i want?

main things being nice car, appartment....

i was doing some calculations and i need about 60k lump sum to get what i want started,

minimum 25% deposit only accepted nowadays for a property)..

ive only got about 7k cash saved up :-( ....such along way to go for my target :-(

I don't really understand what the OP is saying here. Will it take 60k to put a deposit on some property and that's your target. Or is the 60k what you'll need start a business and 7k is as far as you've got?

Everyone's money motivated to a certain extent, however you have to enjoy the journey in setting up a business otherwise its just work.
If you saved that 7k, well done. Would you be willing to put that 7k on the line and possibly lose every penny of it or possibly turn 7k into 40k in year (was it you started that thread too?lol).

I wish you the best anyway, if your still sitting on that 7k in a years time. Not wanting to take a chance on anything, maybe you should save on.

They say most millionaires will have gone bust anything up to four times in their life before they hit the big time. I've already gone once so I'm a quarter of the way there. Get stuck in.

Like i said, people are blind. Unfortunatley that is the real world and unfortunatley it only happens in rare circumstances but it DOES happen and they are living proof it happens, I didnt just pluck it out of my ass.

Also i wasnt trying to compare setting up a business to a get rich quick scheme i was trying to show that there are other ways to do it quick. Then again im pretty sure that facebook is a business when theres ten billion involved, but then again im just a newbie who knows jack all.

I could forward you my junk mailbox everyday if you PM me your e-mail, plenty of get-rich quick schemes arrive in it.

At the end of the day we all know rich quick schemes are boll**** and the only winner is the muppet sending out the info because its a sad fact that they prey on depressed and desperate people who have no other options left to try and think that their last £20 will make them a millionaire.

I was just pointing out that it does happen but its really rare so best of luck in the future mate and remember its all about hard work.

I have no doubt there are people that have got rich quick, I didn't question that. But, lets look at the examples you gave.

An actor getting rich quick? What does that have to do with what we're talking about?

Facebook, ok that's a business, but a poor example, how much did they start with? Yep, a lot more than £7k!

My point was that this (i.e. a buying and selling business) is not a way to get rich quick. I was being realistic.

Prove me wrong. Have you got rich quick doing this?

At the end of the day, I'm being realistic.

I have to agree with PT on this one. There are rare occasions where people just stumble upon a business idea that makes them rich BUT only a very small persentige go from rags to riches with zero investment.

It takes time, investment and hard work.
