Is there anyway of posting an item but doesnt show the cost, so if you set a flat fee for postage on your items sometimes might be more sometimes might be less but the customer would always pay the same?

yes if you pay through paypal for royal mail postage you get the option to hide or show postage level. you may just get moaned at at the post office when they confirm the weight and ask you how much you paid

Get a PPI account if you're sending more than 5000 parcels a year.

I'm not sure if it's just for ebay orders but normally on ebay it is straight forward just go to the order and using the drop down menu select purchase and print postage label and it will take you to a paypal page with all postage options enter the service you want and then enter the weight and press pay and continue and it even fills in the address automatically for you. or from the paypal page it is the same just press print postage label at the side of the payment
