If this is posted in the wrong area then I apologise in advance, I have looked and I’m not really sure where it should go; politely mods feel free to move to correct area

I’ve got stock arriving Friday and although the contents are new the boxes original supplied are a bit tatty/shop soiled.
In this case do you keep it and sell in the original box or do you buy brand new brown boxes to sell them? General rule of thumb what’s best?

Also instead of a new thread, bulk selling to CEX, do many of you do this?

for your first question i would say it depends on how you feel about the condition of the box really. with the value of the goods you are selling would you personally feel good receiving this item yourself in a tatty box?? is the profit good enough to warrant paying about a quid or so for a new box??

as for cex buying off you in bulk they may be funny about buying multiple lots of the same item and may even ring the police. although you are the legal owner of the goods you would probably have to prove that you do own them and then that would mean showing them an invoice which in turn they may ask to knock you down on your price or just go to your supplier itself. you might be better just to sell them on ebay or even register as an advertiser here and sell to us at a good price.

hope this post has been some help to you:niceone:

I am happy for them to call the police etc, I will happily show them an invoice with the details blanked out, without wanting to be cheeky do you/anyone have any experience of what sort of amounts they take before they start that sort of quizzical?

CEX was my turn it over fast plan, need to re-think that then
