Hi, okay I have an idea for an online business and I have found three distributors of the goods I would like sell, now I want to contact them but I would like some advice as to how and when, these distributors say that they only deal with trade or established trade, I was thinking of dropping them a line and explaining my idea (in a professional manner) and asking what stage they would be willing to do business with me, is this ok or a big no no.

I could probably start with different wholesalers but the goods arent as good as the ones offered by these distributors.

They will want to know more than likely what sort of annual spending you will be doing, what sort of products your targeting ect..

What your expected growth rate and such..

Basically they will ask questions that primarily affect them; your spending, frequency of orders, range of stock, and what the future might hold.

Not everything but a few things that I'm sure they will probably ask.
