need answers to these questions
hello everyone
i'm a beginner/newbie in this wholesale industry, so lately all i have been doing is researching/reading books, e-books, post, website articles and etc on wholesaling & wholesale brokering. (just sucking up info like a sponge)
so through all this reading/chatting with others and etc, i have amassed some questions i need answered.
1. what steps/legal actions should a broker take if either the suppiler or buyer reneges on either one of these contracts. NCND, FPA, and ICPO
2. why would someone issue a ICPO contract, is this a tactic used to scare off not serious buyers and etc
3. i know what getting a NCND from both the supplier and the buyer represents, but are there any ways of finding out if your suppiler and buyer goes behind your back to make deals (because i know the buyer always want to get the product cheaper, and the supplier always wants to satisfy/get closer to his/her customers especially when that customer is making large purchases on a regular basis)
3. i heard of product inspection/escrow companies like SGS and Hellmans, which will act as a third-party product inspection company to varify the suppilers product authenticity and etc, but these two companies are mainly located in UK but does anyone know of any companies offering services like this in the US (i also know you'll only us a company like this on large/very large deals)
4. what is a softprobe/hardprobe and etc
AND TO ALL WHO RESPOND: please don't tell me these topics have been already talked about in previous threads and i should just search for them, because i have. it just seems when i type a certain "name/title" in the search field either nothing comes up or to many topics come up, and i try to click on as many as possible to see what info i can get but they just still don't answer my questions
but if anyone has an link to a thread/post that answers one of my questions please let my know

o-yeah i forgot to ask a question, what does one do when brokering major department store merchandise, well brokering merchandise from there reclamation center/distribution center
the reason i ask this question is nowadays buyers ask for POS (proof of stock) pictures and etc, when most of these companies will not provide them (i guess because they are to busy with there daily operations to be taking pic's and etc), but we all know they are a very reputable company and source of merchandise (liquidations, overstocks, returns, closeouts, out of season merchandise and etc)
i am not even sure if these major department store reclamation centers/distribution centers will even think of signing a NCND agrement or a FPA, so the broker really has to play the middle guy and make sure he gets his commission upfront from the buyer and passes the rest to supplier (instead of just setting back and letting them work it out)
so what do i say to the buyer, i'm sorry there are no pic's for this merchandise from me or my supplier or do i show them some pic's from that particular department stores website of merchandise that could be included within the load there ordering (BUT MAKE SURE NOT MAKE ANY QUARANTEES)

1) You can sue. They are binding contracts.
2) ICPO can be used to scare off non-serious buyers, i remember i used it once when i bought products of large value, so if the buyer all of a sudden wasnt interested, i wouldnt be stuck with the units.
The rest im sorry i cant give you any information on, im sure some veterans here will help more.

3) Hellmans is the largest freight forwarder in the world.
List of there US offices

SGS is a worldwide company, here`s there usa web site http://www.us.sgs.com
Your best option is to find local suppliers, where you can inspect the stock and take delivery to ship to your buyers direct. That way your buyers cannot go behind your back to find out your suppliers information.
