Default Advice On New Business

Hi, ive been reading this forum for a while and have now decided to join. I have been looking for a while to start up a business on ebay. At the moment i am looking at 2 options. The 1st option is selling mainly computer/electronic items, I have looked at ATS Distribution and i think some of their dropship prices are reasonable however im not sure that the items they sell are selling well on ebay. Most of the sellers who are selling the same items that ATS sell seem to make most of there money from other sources. Another option is football memorabilia using football souvenirs as the dropshippers although i dont think there is much profit to be made.

Do you have any advice?? should i go ahead with either idea or abandon them both???

Thanks for any help in advance!

Hi,
I was like that when I first started. My advice is what ever you have in mind, just go for it, don't give up. Just experiment.

ok thanks for your help....i will probably set up outside of ebay. Unfortunately i am no good with building websites but was just looking at the shopping carts by www.kynet.co.uk although the £19.99 per month hosting will probably eat up alot of the profits in the first few months, and to use their carts you have to pay their hosting! Do any of you think its worth using one of their shopping websites?

Hi Skelton,

To make money you have to be different - whether it's unique products, lower prices, better customer service, etc. Find a niche market and experiment with different ideas. Like Saajan says... don't give up. Try different things and eventually you'll find something that works. Good luck and happy business!

Hi,
It is 100% illegal to sell fake merchandise! You can easily get caught and sometimes even get sent to jail!
