Its not THAT difficult but its by no means a task to be undertaken lightly.

If you get a basic website package then you can quite easily install a premade shopping portal such as Oscommerce of Cube cart.

The question you ask is too broad. You need to be more specific with what it is you actually want the website to do. I realise you want it to accept CC and all, but what else does it need to function as?
