your best bet is to participate in the discussion forum of that site, some moderators are actually working in the big wholesale companies. it is the same to some popular discussion forums in hk.
for those interested in branded clothes from europe and america, my advice is the wholesale price is more dear than europe. don't source those branded clothes from mainland china, because the local clothing wholesalors themselves can't even get it. what you can get is fake or some small amount of irregulars(if you are very very lucky). it is true that some fashion houses do have their production in south china(massive clothing factories), the problem is the production is highly strictly controlled, after production, some factory will even destroy the irregulars.
for those interested in nike trainers, there are three massive factories in south china, the contractor is from taiwan, they also have production in vietnam. my friend used to work there and vietnam, he told me there is no chance u can get it from wholesale market in china, all nike products will be directly shipped to hk and then distributed to the world, so if you wanna source nike, addidas or reb, your best bet is from america or japan( japanese don't like volleyball leading to loads of nike trainers unsold) and there are also some reputable shoe wholesalers in hk selling authentic nike addidas etc. the trainer market is very tough.
if you wanna find wholesalers in mainland china for your digital products, my advice is avoid those branded products. they do have wholesalers for those branded product, but these wholesalers are very very very hard to find, they are usually from hk and they normally have office in south china. the reason why they are so hard to find in mainland china is they are big smugglers( tax evasion)!!! so, if you wanna find chinese wholesalers, source them from hk for all your digital products cos hk is a free port(no import duty, no vat).so u can see why some of u can get your authentic ipod from mainland china but they are not sealed, guess what, the machine and package are separate, they mailed the packages to mainland from hk and take the machine to shenzhen!! another thing i wanna mention is those fakes from putian. putian is a small town in fujian, which is notorious for its fake branded shoes. factories from this small town are just like factories from tuscany in italy, the only difference is they are very good at making good quality fake, to be honest, i really appreciate their skills. if u wanna source unbranded shoe, source them here, putian is the root of good quality unbrande shoe and fake branded shoe as well.
hope it is useful for those sourcing wholesalers from china( mainland, hongkong and taiwan).

In another way,can we say the big retailers buying direct from nike are wholesalers? As we name retailer,we think its quantity is small, but when big retailer buying big quantity, then it possibly can defined as wholesaler, don't you think so?

A retail store would be classed as a Retail Distributor not a wholesaler.
A Wholesale Distributor sells to other retail stores and resellers.
In China there`s not many authorized wholesale distributors for name brand items. The manufacturers sell direct to retail stores in China, cutting out the wholesale distributor!

yes, that is a good direction for your nike trainer source. in hk, their is a wholesale company selling authentic nike, addidas etc, one of the owners of this company actually has a big retail shop in japan. with this connection, he can ship some surplus stock from japan to hk. loads of local shops source their stuff from this compay.

I have checked many suppliers in China that say they sell branded electronic goods, and is not easy to find any that are true, and after just a few mins on their web site you know, when you do this each day after some time you see that most have the same idea's.
tracking numbers, msn details, lack of contact details, w/u payments, brand goods, and so on.
Facts are many items in China you can not buy so cheap, why?, simple most chinese dont buy products we use in UK, if you want a GPS, not many people can buy these in china, and the retails cost is about 3000rmb, and the gps is poor in china.
Game machines are the same, you would not see kids playing these in china much, if 1.3 billion people could buy the prices in China would be lower, and the exports cost change too,
Suppliers selling Nike sports goods in China and cliam to be factories would be making fakes, and selling the ps3 or psp machines too, as we see many people loose money to these suppliers, but they fail to check the basics before they send money.
If you see a product that is so cheap, think?, and if these products are branded too, most suppliers in china buy phones from eruope and resell in china, sure chinese brand phones are much lower in china, quality is the key, the brand phones in china are very high to buy, phone shops are very common to see in china, China Telecom is owned by the Chinese goverment, you buy a phone in a reatial store in China, you do not get a sim card, you have to buy,, charges can be high to use, as each province you go to you can be charged more for calls, so so many cards to choose from.
I bought a Sony mobile and in UK the price was about £50 lower, and remember always ask suppliers in China about the language settings, games in english, charge for uk use, warranty, sim free.
The cost of ps3 in china is another problem, why buyers are sending money to suppliers for a ps3 at $400 or lower, this sets of the alarm bells, and the shipping charges, "we use DHL and the cost is $30" WOW its 8kg weight and the size, to send from China for $30, dont think so, give you a idea, i send a mp3 very small and the weight about 500g, this cost over $20 to uk,
Please just use your judgement to check before you send money, cheers John
