How do I check if this supplier is trustworthy?

I have found a supplier, how do i check if they are not scammers? They are a UK company.

I have done a who is search, but I'm not sure that I used the correct site to check. (If anyone could tell me where to do a who is check it would be very good). I have checked and they are registered with companies house. Anything else I need to do?

I haven't created an account, but it seems they accept credit card, cheques and cash. I was going to open an account, but if they are not trustworthy I don't want them having my details.

Without being able to check them out it will be hard to tell. Are you prepared to share their details for us to look into them for you?

They have a telephone number, give them a call... all seems good so far

Seems good to me... as fibbler1 said, give them a call to check they are available on the phone and confirm who their merchant provider is and go from there.

Thanks guys. I will ring them and ask about opening an account. What is a merchant provider, and why do I need to check it?

The company they use to process your credit card. Just check that is a well know provider and one that holds their funds for a grace period incase you have to chargeback.

Just worth finding out in my opinion so you know where your CC details are going to end up.
