Marco - Platz Limited
Hi everybody!
This is probably another too good to be true supplier but I would like your input anyways. They said they will accept payment via T/T so I told them it has to be to a business account and before payment can be made the account will be verified and cross referenced first.
After telling him that I myself got called a scammer. I'm sure it's a scam so I wanted to post to give everybody the chance to tell me their experience with them.
Yes they are from Alibaba. Information here!

IMO opinion the majority of Alibaba listed are covered by the term TRAINER TIME....
I know there are verified members on there, ie. gold rated(?) but I have heard from so many people that have had serious issues with members of all classes that I do not even look at the site let alone recommend anybody else does.
I realise people will disagree with this statement but hey thats life..

This sums it up for me...
Who would publish this sort of tat in an area where prospective customers look to see what you are like as a company?
I have little experience of Alibaba, but to me it sounds as if it is full of cowboys...

Yeah, Alibaba has been giving me nothing but a headache. The scammers tend to use cookie cutter emails I find under many different company names and yes the freebie email tends to give them away immediately. However, I use free email too but that's only coz it's got a high storage capacity.
The only ones that are legit are the actual manufacturers and factories. Even then they tend to scam you by sending you defective goods, or items not as described.
This site is awesome for notifying others of scammers out there. Thanks everybody!
If anybody knows of a better and decent site with legit suppliers please POST!

What items are you after...a quick search within the forum should give you some supplier leads across the world.
Check out James's (Forum Owner) Wholesale Directory..here:
http://www.thewholesaledirectory.co....tory/index.php
You will probably find some suppliers there.
Also check out this article:

May give you some helpful advice...

Hey Anthony,
Thanks for the links.
Unfortunately all the items I want / need are not available for wholesale really. After reading around it kinda sums it all up. I was looking for, like most people. PSP's 1001k, Ipods, Motorola V3's, and Sony Cybershot T7's.
The T7's seem to be easy to get but the price isn't that great. The rest speak for itself. I have had some success with alibaba but that's mostly with the chinese manufacturers and yeah most are pretty good but you do have to watch out incase they try to sneak some defectives ones in, it has happened especially with items of low value. Eventhough they give you a warranty on it the cost of shipping the item back for repair just isn't worth it.

You would have to agree that what you are wanting to sell is the cliché of products that every desirable seller wants to sell. The only problem is supply of these products. Most wholesalers will only be wanting to deal with you if you have a lot of money to give them. Hence discounts and price levels will be cheaper if you have money to spend.
If you have the money to start in these areas then this business could be your oyster but if you don't I would recommend looking for an alternative market.

Yes,
That is what my conclusion is as well. Why make 20-30 bux on a 100-300 dollar item when you can make the same amount on a 1-3 dollar item. Less investment, less risk.
Thanks for all the input you guys, once again this site is awesome. Lots of feedback, and helpful links and topics

The advice I always give is :
Find a niche item, make your money selling that and then build up. I have a friend who just had an evil knieval DVD made up from some video footage he bought, the footage hadn't been aired before and his limited run of 2000 went in 8 days!!!
Not a bad weeks (give or take) work for 60% profit
