Hi,

I thought I'd let you guys know...as I can tell you are keen to find out....I have had lots of communication with a lady from the sales team from smallvolume. In this past week she has rung me twice on my mobile from China and emails nearly every day regarding the stock I want; this has been mainly due to the option mixes I requested.

As it states on their site regarding the option mixes you can choose up to 3 extra options per carton but that this is Not Guaranteed. Basically it's up to the manufacturer if they are prepared to allow it, the ones I have chosen will not. Therefore base your product selection on the main item and perhaps contact smallvolume to check if that particular manufacturer allows for extra option mixes with regards to the quantity you require, prior to putting together your order - as I spent sometime working out lots of extra options, which I then couldn't have.

However, I have only ordered the minimum of 1 carton per 1 product -mainly; (between $300 to $800 per manufacturer) which I can imagine to the manufacturer is a very small order and therefore not worth their while changing cartons of stock. I guess if you buy alot of one product this may well be different. In my opinion, based on the carton size it's better to buy 1 carton than buying separate samples due to shipping costs.

I'm still happy with all my choices and the order is now being put together.

I'm going to hire a van to collect the goods from Southampton (90mins from me) as the total order comes to just under 4cbm, which is the capacity of a medium van.

I'm looking forward to receiving my goods....I'll let you all know when I get them....after me being the guinea pig!

Janine.

Hey be nice now.......or I might not tell u how I get on..............lol!!!!

It's the people that take well informed risks that do well....(I spent 2+ years researching the property market before I developed properties)...sometimes ...relative research to the risk is adequate and then action is better than years of delay.

Furthermore....since I received alot of help on here from people giving me free help and advice, and if smallvolume give good service- as they have with me so far then I'm being fair to those people.

Dear Janine
i hope Also Everything Goes Well With your order. You Know
one must Calculate Both Positive And Negative Before Going Ahead i personally Received From Them Copies Of Registration Of Their Company Under the Name good Orient Trading and I asked Them Why there is A Diference from Small volume.com Ltd And They said Its another Department Of
The same Company. Then There Was The Email. Why Would A company That Wants To Sell have An Email To Contact Them
With Out Going Through Some One Else That Is Very Strange
Mr Lam said In This Forum That He Didnt Want To Expose His Email If it Was Me I Would Have Given 10 Emails Not Just One. Then Another Think Puzzled Me The Updates Of Products Dont You Think That A company Thats On the Net
Would have New inq All The Time And hense New Additions
On The Stock List I did not see That And Lastly The Situation
Of Neneto Was not something To Be Taken Lightly . By The way what payment method did you use? i hope My Worries are The Product Of My imagination And Every Thing Goes Well. hear from You Soon

Chris

I'm a little bit frustrated with the limited descriptions of the products on this site.
I only want to make a small order first off, but it's kind of hard to make an informed choice without all the product info eg.. certification, packaging, accessories included, power plug for my country etc.
I know that I can email from the site for more info... but I've done that a few times already

Hi

In response to Chris...and to you all that are interested...I may well have jumped the gun, so to speak....I'll find out soon.....and I may well be nice.... or 'stupid' enough to let you all know, as I expect you all keep that sort of info very close to you!!!

I understand what you are saying Chris...to let you know... I have called the telephone numbers given from an initial email with smallvolume. When I asked if it was Small Volume, they said Good Orient, which James Lam has explained is their sister company and the one they set up prior to small volume. I was then put through to some-one, who said her name and it was the same lady I had received 2 calls and many emails from. I asked her for small volume and she asked for my order number. She then gave me another telephone number, the same as on the small volume website.

Mr Lam contacted me by emailing me directly by getting my info from small volume and refund me the $70 I had paid for samples as I did not pursue them. I would not want my personal email to be on here and since he is in top management of a company turning over annually up to $2million dollars, I can imagine like most business people at that level they do not deal direct with all general enquiries!!! Do you get that in this country, no way...a customer service person deals with them, especially as you are talking about people buying a few $100s only if they choose and especially if you don't know how serious a buyer they are!

I have seen the smallvolume registration date on EC21.com, 17/04/07 with James Lam as a contact name, and the correct telephone numbers. Please note that it is 0086 10.+ number...not 0086 010 + number. I could not find Good Orient on that site though and regarding that site giving no numbers and address...not sure about that, you're right there!

RE: the updates you mention....smallvolume are middlemen. The manufacturers they have on their site produce new products as and when and then they list them. Three of the manufacturers I am interested in have all put on a selection of new products, which I was surprized at, as when I went to order I had to decide on including them!

Re: the Neneto...Mr Lam did say that the customer was given all the details to pursue why those goods were seized. Things like that you must follow through and I don't know how far he took it, so I can't say about that?!

Re payment: once my order was put together, their system would only allow for paypal in the price range I bought. I did try to use my electronic web credit card, which is secure for that sum only, as I've not used paypal much but their payment site would not allow it and only the paypal option came up as my card was related to a paypal account.

Hi Jezz....hello....not sure what to say....shame if you have not had a reply to gain further info!

I really don't know why I'm posting all these ...as I may well get stung yet. But I'm just telling u how it is to this point. Like I said if I hadn't found this site I wouldn't have gone ahead...a good thing or a very bad thing...still to be seen! Guess.. I'm a calculated risk taker to a point!

Janine.

Wow, huge post Janine!

For what it's worth, I don't think that you have jumped the gun.
You have researched, you have checked them out as much as possible and so... what else can you do?
Personaly I would have placed a much smaller order first off though.
(If I risked and lost that much money I'd have a very sqeaky voice after my wife found out)

They have been very quick to answer my emails, I'm just feeling like a tool because I only want to place a tiny order first off and don't want to hassle them.
I just wish there was more info in the listings!

Cheers,

Jeremy
