How long is a piece of string?

Price breaks/quantity discounts are set by the individual supplier and therefore an unknown quantity.

A litte tip, if you want 100 pcs, negotiate hard for 50 pcs. When you have got the rock bottom price agreed, ask them what further discount you will get if you purchase double (100pcs)

Good tip Greedyboy, i think it really depends on the suplier and what your trying to buy, it can be more or less on different items.

I think what they are trying to say tis that there are some who negotiate a deal for 100, but then when it's time to plunk down their money they just really want one - at the 100 price.

The old - if you can sell me 100 for 3 bucks each, you can sell me one for 3 bucks, too.

Yes, there are people who do that. And not just in India.
