I'm setting up an account with Ingram Micro as they supply alot of the PC equipent I want to start selling and I've heard that they are an apple stockist, has anyone got an account with them and could tell me how much the MAC BOOK PRO is or 80gb ipod, just want to see what margins are involved.

It's not that easy. You really have to deal through a rep, they have no simple price list.

Apple is about the most controlled line in the world.

Ingram will never be the cheapest with most products. They have stock on hand, no counterfiets, and extremely knowledgeable sales reps. Their strong suit is they are the real pros in the field, not cheap prices.

Not for years. During the 90's I was a daily purchaser. They will dropship and I had very proprietary systems around the US. It was good to have someone I could call for a part and have it shipped and waiting for me or one of my people when we got there.

Even with Apple, Micro Soft, HP, etc. volume has much to do with your cost.

I can just about guarantee that except for really tightly controlled products you will always find it cheaper elsewhere. Service and availability are their strong suits.

It also depends on how much you spend with ingram, 9k is the minimum in any one year I think.
