Ps3 Supplier
Hi,
I am new to this site and have found it very useful.
I would just like to get an opinion from anyone who can help.
I have found someone who is a supplier of PS3's he says minimum order is 30 for £5,550. When i queried him about a fraud he said
"I works for HSBC, on the online fraud department. Please note if you purchase online your bank can claim your money back if you fill out a fraud report. Can i just say, fraud is a criminal offence and is prosecuted against. I do not wish to fraud you, i simply want to deliver time and time again. Please let me know if you wish to place the order. I can send you a multimedia text of my pay slip 4 HSBC if required to assure you."
He then goes on to say
Unfortunately, I cannot offer you to collect them but i am really looking for genuine customers who wish to order again and again, I intend on offering the best deals and customer service available on the internet and wish to keep my customers. The first order is the most important to me as i know if you are happy, then you will order more!.
You can make payment to my Bank, Is this ok?
Once funds have cleared , you can then commencing selling the stock inside 48 Hours
I asked him how he would like payment and where the items would be delivered to ?
The Courier used is DHL unless you wish to use another..
Payment is made via Bank Transfer with Credit / Debit Card, I shall give you the details if you wish for payment to be made.?
The stock is delivered to the address you provide me.
He then said he lives in Coventry but cannot offer collection as he uses uk suppliers. He says I can use any courier firm i wish to use and can also have the items couriered to him then for me to collect them. But requires payment first.
He then says
I am not prepared to give my address first unfortunately, but will provide it once funds have cleared.
You have a choice of courier services, It is completely down to you,as the customer to decide.
I then said is it genuine he replied.
I CAN assure you that this deal will not go wrong. I am really hoping that you will order again and again off me , should you order this time, as that way both me and you can be happy.
I understand it is a large amount of money, but the fact is, I could go to jail if the deal went wrong as my bank would pass my details to the police without hesitation.
Any advice would be great cheers.

My first question where did you find this individual.. Bank transfer = no no. I have learned that from this forum. Also, will he allow you to pick up the merchandise or is he too far away?

Also,
I am not trying to tell you what to do. But if you are a newbie, I would turn the power steering away from PS3's. I am a newb and there are no legit sources out there that I have found. Like another trader recommended, get some experience behind your belt before you jump in the pool full of sharks!

Yeah,
I honestly have never traded overseas, I'm very skeptical about doing so. Has anyone had luck with it?

All the signs of a typical scammer :
1.He selling the product for a very very cheap price .
2. Hes not willing to give away his address
3. Hes not offering collection.
4. He only accepts payment by bank transfer
I suggest you stay away from this guy because he does sound ALOT like a scammer. The field that you are trying get into is full of scammers so i would reccomend you dont throw your money away like that. there are lots of sellers who can provide you with genuine stock of Ps3 but it costs ALOT more than that. 5500 for 30 is around 183 each unit (including vat) is a very silly price so dont fall for it. I suggest you contact one of the forum registered traders, they might by able help you but be assured that you might have to pay around £320-£330(or even more) each for a legit uk ps3 stock. you could get hong kong ps3 for cheaper than that but the problem is that hong ps3 does everything a uk ps3 would do but it dont play uk blue-ray discs. so thats the only disadvantage of trying of sell hk ps3 in this country. tbh theres not much margin in ps3's and there are defo better items(even in electronics) that u could sell to make some money. i would suggest u look into flash memory, its a smaller item, costs alot less and u could sell in huge numbers to make alot of profit.
regards
