I know, I know, that after reading lots of threads on this most exellant forum people generally say steer clear of 1) IPODS & 2) ALIBABA but i have been looking around for Ipod suppliers just in case that i find a legit one and came across a trustpass Ltd UK company that can do IPOD nano's at a good price. They are registered at companies house, are VAT registered and will accept all types of payment. I spoke the "Director" (He's hard to get hold of and seems like a one man band type of set up) and he seems very keen for me to collect the units from him and will accept CASH on delivery.
I said that i wasn't that happy about travelling with £5000 in my back pocket so would he accept a bankers draft? NO he said but suggested that i had a look at the goods, then if i was happy i could draw the cash from a local branch of my bank.Sounds fine and apart from getting walloped over the back of my head and thrown in a ditch 5k less in my pocket, (i would take someone with me, a big bugger!) is there any sort of scam i should look out for, ie fake ipods or boxes sealed but with nothing of value in them etc.
Anyhow i love this place it's really opened my eyes. :eek: to the dangers out there

what prices did he give you for iPod Nano?

50 @ $185. although that was the price for 20 aswell

I managed to speak to him once initially on the phone but it was diverted to a mobile then cut out. Then i managed to speak via trade manager on alibaba and we discussed price and quantity, but when asked the question " If i paid by credit card how long would it be before i could get them collected by my courier" No reply! Hmm. And i asked was VAT on top of the price he quoted and he said "no it's all inclusive".
So i am not sure, but can you argue with C.O.D. The only scam that could possibly happen must be fake stuff or empty boxes, but even then i could give him £170 or so and open a box at random (as my wife wants one for xmas! an expensive bint she is) to make sure that they were legit.
If i can get a proper conversation with him i'll go and see him.

Also if you put a search for ipod nano's there is another guy who is advertising called "Cut Price Deals" he has quite clearly copied the middlesex blokes add but is in the West midlands. I tried the number and spoke to him and he seemed real good. He would accept COD but said that import tax would have to be sorted by myself but when i collected all the paperwork would be there and he would be able to guide me in what to do. Cool! All he needed was a faxed order. Well that seems ok he does PSP uk version 1004K for $170 apparently & 4gb nano's at $170 if you want 50 & $190 for 10 as a sample and only a few days delivery. Well we will see.I will order probably on Monday and let you know what happens.

Yes heres your order, you check a few, you then go get the cash and you then pick up your goods (swapped for bricks in boxes etc).

A buy and Rob back scam.

The list goes on.....

I shouldn't really reply to iPod posts as I do not believe there are true wholesale sellers out there (UK) other than Apple...

yeah i've come across that company too...would like to know if anyone's had good deals with them or if anyone's checked them out
