cell phone supplier in china
I recently contacted a company in china that supposedly sells authentic motorola cell phones. First off there minimum order quantity(MOQ) is only 5pcs, which did not sound right. Second, I said I was interested in large bulk orders, and that I would like to visit their company soon to build relations and view their actual operations and cell phone stock. They emailed me back saying that they only allow visits from old customers, and that I could start off by ordering a sample instead. Is it just me, or if you were a company in china and someone said they wanted to do bulk business with you, but wanted to meet and greet first, wouldnt you be interested in these bulk business orders and allow the visit? Any opinions / advice would greatly be appreciated. Thank you.

First of all, as many members and I said for "n" times that there is no brand electronics (except the China brands) selling in China directly. Although they are manufactured in China, they cannot directly sell them in China. Thus, the authentic motorola cell phones, you can imagine how authentic it is. If you want to know more about it, you can use the search function in the forum.
Secondly, if you said you want to do bulk business with them but they refuse your visiting request, it is not reasonable. You cannot think a reason why they refuse to the new customer to have a visit only. Are they doing something illegal or want to do something scam? You can think about it.

Yes. For a real company, they usually welcome their customers to visit them as they will never want to lose one promising customer.
Good Luck

I'm agree with colorful zone.
It is not reasonable for them refusing even new customers to inspect their office. And what colorfulzone said was true that even branded product produced in China, they are not allowed have a direct sales in China. Even they have, the price would not be cheaper than Hong Kong due to the taxes and stuffs.
China Brands a lot there...

Yes, usually welcome.
but some especially small firms have to consider the cost of inviting a customer to visit.
maybe you can try and say: hey, I will go by myself. no need for your car, your food.
if they still refues, then be careful
