Hi guyz,
Came across this website while doing some research on the net....and glad that i found it. you guys are amazing with the amount of information and resources on this site.

Im located in Australia and have found alot of interest in business. im a uni student but i can see alot of potential in business. i have put my hand in various business`s, but im keen in getting into Import/Export.

My business plan involves major brand electronic products such as Laptops, cameras, mobile phones, DVD players etc....

i have tried finding suppliers and have also been scammed twice (one supplier from china, and another from japan)

can anyone give me some advise so that i may start my business venture.

- i have heard china is not the best country to purchase major brand electronic items. which country is the best?

- is there trade companies out there that sell many various electronic items? or do i need to find separate wholesalers for each category?

- does anyone know any Good reliable wholesalers that sell electronic products?

- with products such as laptops, would i need to register as a reseller with companies such as Sony, HP etc to sell there items? or can i just sell them without there permission?

Start by reading the sticky threads at the top of the secions. Also have a look at the suppier lists in The Wholesale Directory, linked on the right, and download the free list contributed by amember and now linked to from a sticky thread at the top of the Dropshipper section.

Now that should prevent you asking questions for a couple of hours, at least.

I suggest it would be from Hong Kong if you are looking for branded electronics not china brands etc. Why? because Hong Kong offers electronics products quite cheap and reliable. Cheap branded products in China are mostly comes from Hong Kong with a illegal imports. For instance, mobile phones, they import only the mobiles without the packaging. All packaging and accessories are imported separately. So It might happen that the price in China might be a lil bit expensive than Hong Kong and the IMEI number on the packaging will be different from the mobiles in the packaging. So be careful mate!

but what anotheruser said is true. You better go to wholesale directory to browse and see whether have any reliable supplier there.
