Default Advice please....

Hi guys and thanks for a great forum.

I need some advice from those more experienced than me.

I have a buyer who wants a large quantity of items from my supplier. The problem I have is how to set up the deal so I dont give away my suppliers details but still get my cut?

Being such a large quantity in the hundreds of thousands I cant personally pay for the stock and then have it shipped to the buyer. Plus the buyer wants to inspect the items(of course) and then arrange there own stock forwarders.

What would be the best way to handle the transaction so im not cut out of the deal?

Thanks,

Jorgan17.

if it is the hundreds of thousands surely its best to get the payment upfront?
i would never send so many items without receiving the payment first, if after inspection of whatever it is can they not send the faulty ones back?

as for not giving away your supplier. can you not ask the supplier to send the items to your customer and send the invoice/paperwork to you?

its not a nigerian or similar customer is it?

If it was me then I would just charge a finders fee.. say for an amount that you would be happy to sell the details of the supplier for.

At the end of the day you are not a wholesaler and you can only work as a broker and therefore not offer him the prices that a wholesaler can so you are better of taking something from the deal..

Anyway, just my 2cents..

Ask your supplyer if you could get a sales commision on all orders & future orders . 12% is the going rate this way you do not have any money worries .You can also find other customers and earn commision from them .

Thanks for your replies guys.

After your input and thinking about the situation I will try and go down the commission path if the supplier agree's, as I believe this would benefit me more then just asking for a one off fee from the buyer for the information.

I will post the outcome once the deal has gone through.

Regards,

Jorgan17.
