Default Have I been the victim of a Mini Scam?

Yes ladies and gents its lunchtime and I'm afraid due to the ribbing from my business partner its soap time.

Fashion and apparel simply is not my thing to many snides, dodgey characters etc. However following the post this sunday Topical Tees I purchased a bundle for £200 ish from registered seller Mr Will Read. I decided they would be good fillers for a site we are launching this month, and paid cash into Mr Reads bank account.

Mr Read has provided me with an invoice, for the purchase, he also stated the stock was available to collect either in person from Herts COD or by courier as per the advert, to be arranged with the buyer. However since Tuesday, zip nothing Mr Will Read is not responding to email or calls, he's gone all nigerian on me has he had the t shirt off my back for £200 sovs.

There could be another explanation Mr Read has a genuine delay, illness accident, and could be assembling the already supposedly in situ stoack as we speak. If this is the case 'Will Read' which is also providing merry mirth to said business partner and even the wife, please read emails etc and MODS pull the thread.

So there you have it, have i been the victim of my first ever swizz?

Remember forget China guys, fashion is fraught with danger and deception.

Greedy my god of all the people the king of china appears, I want to be alone in my shame.

Harpendon was his Halifax bank account and one of his stated addresses for pick up also said it could be collected from Welyn Garden City.

How I wish I was in Neptunes.

AL postcode is that area including St Albans, about 5 miles from my warehouse. Just because they picked it up there they may not be from there. They could also be using someone else's account to 'launder' the money.

DO you have their address and what did you buy?

I will say this, if they collected the money and then gone silent, it's 99.9% a scam! The only consolation is the 0.01% where they may have got run over by a car after collecting the cash!

The post code shows as Bewdley close about 1 1/2 miles south of harpenden off of Harpenden Road. But what your saying is if I go all carter and regan down the M1 with that in the sat nav along with the £200 in fuel I could end up at George and Mildreds.

I bought around sixty t shirts as per the advert ( see thread topical tees in fashion apparel section).

Assumed (I know I know) that he was good due to registered seller status on here. The chap also advertises his other web sites on here which also gave me confidence in him.

A bounder, a confidence trickster, words alien to me. How I wish I was still a drab accountant today.

In essence then 'registered sellers' on WF like your goodself and I in no way infer this of you, could be Nigerian Jon with a BA ( Hons) in deception and fraud.

Well there is a slackness in the registration process is there not, who's in charge of policing and checking them out?

I've got a shipment coming over from HK due sat or mon which i'm tracking with dhl, sent by a forum member who has taken some flack on here.

Let me tell you the chinese, are more honest than the hertfordonians.

Your last post greedy has resulted in people high fiving and sending me footage of them having a celbratory drink, I've also been sent picture messages on t shirts from over 25 people and thats in the last ten minutes.

The thread is still up should it not be removed I recall an american enquiring about a purchase also.

As they are a Registered Seller I <EDIT> can't see it being a scam personally. Anthony will help you out as he will have their details.
