how reliable is the global sources verification system?

is it wise to buy a sample from a platinum verified supplier with no further checks?

I have been messed about by a Platinum Supplier before. No guarantees unfortunately!

That just means they paid more for the platinum.

well, it was a bit of a punt so....

they seem to have a good rep on the internet, been with global for 4 years and according to global they are verified which means they have been credit checked and the factory visited by global sources at least 3 times.

It was a bit of an impulse buy, spotted a product, got a quote, asked for sample and they sent PI in the space of about 2 hrs from start to finish it was paid.

Not the way I usually do things but I'm a bit of a gambler at heart.

global source doesn't tell you if they're real factory or just a trading company. But I'm sure that all are legitimated companies on it.
