Hi, I've been looking around your site for videogame suppliers and saw one called cmtgames.co.uk, when you go there they say they have changed to clubit.tv which is some sort of membership programme. Has anyone ever used these and is it worth the £36 sign up fee. Any info will be helpful thanks.

Generally, unless you are buying in bulk you are going to struggle to make money on ebay/amazon selling video games...

If you are looking to sell retail and at market stalls ect then there is money to be made.

For a new release title you are looking at around £26-£27 (PC & PS2) trade price from most of the main wholesalers. I know this because I was in the DVD market for many years and thought about going into video games only to find that there was less margin to be made than dvds..

With regard to finding wholesalers I have a few contacts but the price of £26-£27 a title is fairly complimentary until you are buying 1000's per week of a title.

Hope this helps as a starter,

Anthony

Yeah, thanks. I have heard it's a hard market to break into. Damn. I do a bit of selling retro games too. Do wholesalers have much older stocks that are cheaper that may have more of a niche value and may be more saleable in the long term. I don't think I could compete in the brand new markets. Thanks.

The older games are much cheaper to get hold of, its just a case of selling them that is the problem.

As you would expect, most people want the new releases and don't want old outdated games..

Retro games might be quite a good idea to break into but it is good that you understand that the new release market is dominated by the "big boys"..

Hope this helps,

Anthony
