Good Day,
I am starting a new retail outlet and sell-thru business. Two aspects of my strategy are to offer a range of equivilant unbranded generic consumer electronics to the hot selling brands for a lower price than the mainstream brands and to generate business by volume sales of items that carry a reasonable profit margin.
Having researched the fundamentals of this business, one concern I have is with the verification of foreign suppliers and the capability to release funds with confidence the products ordered will be delivered and on time, in perfect working order and as promoted. I realise my reputation is only as strong as the other links in the chain of supply and my prospering depends upon being able to trust my partners.
As a sustainable long-term business model has to be founded upon the integrity of the source, my questions are as follows:
1. What system of checks do well practised and established members of this forum perform on new suppliers business credentials?
2. Are you able to recommend reliable suppliers of unbranded generic consumer electronics based in China and the Far-East?
3. So far as branded consumer electronics are concerned, what are the best means and places in the world to source these from?
I am interested in video game consoles, mobile phones, digital cameras, digital photo frames, GSP systems, laptops and LCD televisions.
Thank you in advance for any advise or instruction you are able to provide.
