Hello mate. To be honest I am still unsure as to what I am going to import and Im not fixed on China by any means, just trying find the best products at obviously the best prices?
My original Idea was DVD-RW or Blue Ray disks....then I started to look at Flash drives, blue ray drives and players.
But as I said I am very new to all this and I am still learning as I go. My simple thinking was China would be cheap (this is before I learnt of all the pitfalls) so I could get a lot for my limited funds and make a good initial profit through maybe an Ebay shop so as to fund me getting getting better quality or a larger number of goods to slowly and steadily increase my profit...in turn giving me more options and gaining a greater understanding of the whole Importing process as well. The truth is, without wanting make mistakes, I want to get started. I want to get busy. and I want to make some money!!
Its like I can see the light ....but its at the end of a very dark tunnel.
Thanks for your reply
Daniel

I actually thought of ordering products from China as well. Really to be honest, the safest why to import products from china are to visit the site yourself..... A lot of scam artist tends to use numerous ways to lure you on submitting a payment to them through paypal or via western union. Or have someone who you can trust in china order it for you....

Hi All,

I am so sorry to hear some of you have been scammed. I heard many stories like yours. the typical scam is that they take your money then disappear. here I summarize some tips for your reference.

1. They usually sell brand products such as Iphone, Nike, etc. It is very difficult to buy original brand products from China, remember this!

2. They use very low price to attract you. even they let you pay the 50% in advance, they just try many ways to make you pay some money in advance, then they will disappear.

3. The very common payment way which they use is West Union and bank T/T, because you can not get your money back one you pay them. And it is impossible to trace them by this way.

Note- payment is not a way to judge a scam, some good companies use west union as well. but you must know your suppliers very well before you send money to them.

4.They prefer use online messager, such as MSN, Skype, etc. But I don't mean someone use this must be scam, I just remind you should be careful about them. Of course some nice companies use MSN as well. But it is not a good sign if you find they put MSN on their website.

5. The contact phone on the website can't be reached mostly.

6. use google to search the company name or website, then check if you can find some related info on the internet.
