I know DHGate has previously been discussed on here, but I've spotted several absulute bargains at DHGate.

They're selling ipod Nano 4th Gen. mp4 players in lots of 10/20 ish fro around $300-400. Is that a bargain, a scam or are they simply the "Almost a Nano" already known at drop the goods and the likes.

I'll go ahead and post links: http://www.dhgate.com/Free-shipping-...4486d4efb.html

Is this safe?

Cheers,

They are fake iPods yes. You can't buy branded goods from China.

They're the ipod clones (almost nanos).

Have a look around, you can't buy big brand names from China.

How can you tell? And how can DHGate allow that to happen (ie. selling incorrectly listed goods) - they're clearly stated to be Apple iPods.

And if you can't buy from China - where can you buy (apart from here)?

I would say it's down to common sense more than anything. It's just a general rule not to buy branded items from China, too.

China isn't the only place to buy wholesale believe it or not! For branded items, you're best to buy from the authorized distributor of that brand in your country (i doubt that would leave you much profit though!).

With the current exchange rate you will struggle with any branded electronics.

Cheers,
If you read the item's description it clearly says: " This item is NOT compatible with iTunes!. So, your cheap Ipod is useless. Also be careful when buying from them. If your item is hold by customs you will lose your money because the seller won't give you a refund.

I think DHGate hold the money until you confirm receipt, so if your goods are held by customs, they dont release your money to the seller.

At least thats how it worked when I bought stuff from them.

I was always concerned about dealing with China , especially having been there and seeing horror stories on the TV, but I liked DHGate for the security it offered.

Possibly not foolproof but it worked for me.
