Did you know that if you access China direct you would have access to millions of products for a fraction of the cost?

China can really give you some product that is cheap. However, you need to be ready to sort out importation requirements, payment requirements, and dealing with Chinese companies.

If you are up for a challenge and ready to take a bit of a risk, then dealing with China direct can really get you some bargains.

However, if you don't want all those headaches, then look for wholesalers that can provide you with good cheap products and also provide you with good service.

Really - you get what you pay for. So do your research and make sure you choose the path where it suits you and the amount of time you have most.

You can buy from china direct yes but you will never get the real product all you will get is fakes that you can sell on but only for cheap and usually in wholesale agian. No one really buys 1-2 fake iPods.

Please don't tell that to the folks here who buy them from me by the hundreds....

Of course, mine aren't fakes, they are totally unbranded, with no intent to deceive, but I do sell by the hundreds and in a recent email to sellers I had a total of 3 alleged defective units in the UK, this was weeks after Christmas, with literally thousands of units being sold.

You are painting with very broad strokes and don't seem to know the facts.

Virtually everything you buy these days has come from China, much of it as no-name goods or incoprorated as components in products such as autos, furniture and major appliances.

I agree you will not get name brand goods from China, but that does not make everything else crap.

Yes - very true. OK you can't buy brand name products from China easily. However, you can buy generic products and you can make good money from these products.

Some of the products are excellent quality and are well made. It is just a matter of finding the right suppliers which can take some time.

Just think of the hours we've just saved thousands of product seekers.

I agree with Pete.
There is a lot of China bashing on this forum... perhaps people don't realize where most of their products are coming from nowadays?!!
Just because you cant buy good branded products from china doesnt mean-
1) there are not good china own brands- you just dont know the brands yet, they are only big within china currently..
2) that all the big brands (nike, wallmart, dell, nokia etc etc) are not made in china. Of course they are, all their components are from there and the factories are there (but Joint ventures). Its just you cant buy the branded goods there because they tend to get distributed in europe/us more and also because there are so many copy items in china market that its hard for you to know when you are not in china, which are the fakes.
3) that all the China products are fakes- sure there are plenty of fakes, but there are also (and in a far far far greater proportion than the fakes) tons of excellent quality unbranded products

Most of the 'China sells fakes brigade' don't realise the keyboard they are typing on was probably made in China. All they see is iPhones for $150 on Alibaba.
