LMAO @ CoD

COD is not really that secure as it sounds...

Most companies will not allow you to open the boxes before you give the payment..so you could be paying 1000's for a box of bricks...

Strictly Escrow or L/C ....provides more security than t/t or even cod...

I've known people who have been scammed on both sides of the cod option..the buyer and the sellers...Be very careful if you do decide to deal with this guy who has XBoxes for $50 ..

I will keep that in mind. Can I get a Letter of Credit just as a normal person? I'm a growing company but am not yet registered.

I would be weary of a L/C. Very easy to scam a L/C!!! Usually, no, you cannot open up a commercial L/C without being a business bank account.

You can try using escrow.com or just stick to a bank L/C. Of course if they offer a fly and buy,

that would indeed be best. You might pay more but I believe a fly and buy would be the ideal

situation. Maybe also ask if you can get the goods inspected prior to payment.

For COD, UPS does allow international COD service. They (UPS) operate like escrow.

However sometimes it is also good to trust your gutt feeling. If the price seems too good to be

true, it usuall is. Don't waste your time and move on to other suppliers.

The UPS international COD info is at http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/res.../exchange.html and personally I would NOT use it unless myself or SGS inspected the goods first as you have to pay for the goods before you ever get to see the boxes even.

It would work great to combine with SGS; having SGS inspect the merchandise and have them watch the merchandise be loaded with UPS to make sure the merchandise they are loading with UPS is the merchandise you want, then you wire UPS the $$$, and UPS releases the goods for delivery.

Sounds pretty secure to me. But any COD deal where you don't get the chance to inspect the goods first, I would be a bit weary. Even Ling was scamming using COD back when he was in Eugene, Oregon selling memory chips.
