Re: markbyrne
As I said ADC, this was part of a much larger problem. I have expedited every phase of it to the best of my abilities. The aspects which I had no control over had to run their course. That which I had control over happened same day.

Mark must be devastated - He offers you free help/advice for 10 days then you refuse to place a £500 order. Mark you'll have to phone your business banking manager to cover the downfall

Re: markbyrne
I don't begrudge the help etc. it just annoys me Robert that you can continue to slate me over the delay when the actual CLIENT is now satisfied, and continuing to do business with us??? This is down to our business ethics and conduct on a regular basis - not judged on one problematic deal.

Robert, it doesn't take a few weeks or few days even to resolve a situation such as this.
Business is about taking risks. No matter what you do, there's always a risk to everything.
In the end, at least Mark satisfied the buyer and actually sorted this out.
Most people would simply just run away. I have seen worst, and where're talking about over £65K +.

Re: markbyrne
I have to say here Mark very nicely handled, many times in this thread should i have been the seller i could have lost my head in the heat. Definately an inspirational thread of customer service.
As lighthousedirec says - it's nice to see the situation resolved here.
All the best,
Steve

Re: markbyrne
Thanks for that Steve. I'm sure you're the same as me (especially at the moment) and take away some good experience from a bad situation. My lesson was learned in dealing with companies & businessmen who have no real accountability. Right now we are lucky that we deal with official distributors, and that our clients also sell to us for some products, in a market that is very hard to keep ahead of the pack.
I must add that the delivery to Lukasz was actually short 13pcs, which we are delivering. We have been over the deliveries, and we were short due to our supplier sending duplicates & also an unreadable code. My error entirely in not noticing that, and Lukasz will get these tomorrow when our current supplier gets in the office. At which point, the thread ere will be sorted

You've got the wrong end of the stick. Sure, the idea of being parted with that much money for so long is enough to make you vomit, but I think even you can agree that Mark has handled it as best he can.
Tell me, what would you have done in his shoes? Have you dealt with stock and cashflow problems on that scale before?
If anything this should be an incentive to trust people like Mark. This sub-forum is marked 'Bad Supplier Experiences' --> Take a read through some of the horror stories of how actual scammers handle people. Let's establish some facts here - Mark has:
* Ensured flowing correspondence with effected clients
* Ditto with suppliers
* Relayed updates to this thread
* Sourced alternative stock (perhaps something that could have gone smoother, but it's a lesson learnt no?)
* Kept his cool
* Taken the liberty to act as a consultant for you (or anyone else) without charging a dime
Also take note of his astonishingly high iTrader feedback rating and the support of some of the forums biggest traders.
Businesses do experience hiccups. If a business goes under because of something such as this, then you can put it down to not planning for a 'worst case scenario'. Every transaction bares risk; this one has gone off the rails, but in every case plan a Plan B.
Robert, by all means go with any supplier but if you're not prepared and planned enough to take risk then consider how you're going to go about it. Why publisize the fact that you're not going to buy either?

Re: markbyrne
Superb post - and I agree wholeheartedly.
The only problem is, Oli beat my iTrader score recently, so I'm going to be setting fire to all his shoes, and ruining his reputation on Match.com.
Oops. Sorry Oli
