Re: Bond-and-co.com selling up
If you are only carrying on with your non internet business including the suppliers for whoever buys the site wont hurt your business at all.
Unless people travel accross the globe just to buy from you.
What is the actual reason you wont include suppliers?

Re: Bond-and-co.com selling up
Discount Etail - It has already been stated that suppliers are not included as they shall be used through his non-internet business.
Congratulations John, I wondered where you'd been!
If you're staying in the industry, as the above suggests, would you be willing to supply the new owner on a wholesale basis? I think that may put people at ease.
With or without supply, buying this site is going to leave the new owner a solid foundation to build such a business from. So I think some of the initial comments were a little unfair.

Yes PT I have read the orignal post and seen that, hence my perfectly valid question above.

Was John aware that you was going to these lengths in regards to selling his products?

Yes as I did ask about his designer doing the site for me, as he advertised.

Re: Bond-and-co.com selling up
John I would like to apologise, it was just a shock, I have put alot of time in to getting it off the ground with help from Anthony and PT, I have 500 business cards sitting here. But I was out of order and I'm sorry.

Re: Bond-and-co.com selling up
congrats on the new addition!
i too had wondered where you had been of late, shame about your site, the wholesaling to the owner of your site sounds like a good compromise, you should thin about it, have their been any offers yet?

Perhaps he can put you in contact with his suppliers or still act as a middleman on your behalf?

Re: Bond-and-co.com selling up
If it was me I would want to buy the website etc with the suppliers and not have to change anything on the website (stock etc) for a few months.
Without the suppliers all of the pictures, descriptions and prices will have to be changed to match the new suppliers ranges.

Re: Bond-and-co.com selling up
OK a few things i would like to say.
First thank you to the guys who i respect and who have shown support particularly PT, Pete, Jazzy and the rest.
Secondly I would like to apologize in particular to Peerielass who obviously had big plans to launch a website and although i do remember month's ago you mentioned you was getting a site together i did not realize the extent you had gone to and the amount of effort and money you have put into it so again i do apologize for any inconvenience.
Thirdly i would like to elaborate alittle more about my decision.
I have no orders outstanding, i owe no money in the form of refunds, i have no more paid dropshipping members as i let all the memberships elapse and did not offer any renewals and ive made no promises to anyone therefore i have no tie ins at all so i would appreciate if the talk about letting customers and members etc down come to a halt as that is not the case.
Anyone who knows me knows i don't make decisions half heartedly and i have my reasons but unfortunately this is business and thats the way business goes and on this occasion the business isn't working out for me.
Without going into any more detail family comes first and i don't feel its necessary for me to go into any more detail then i have.
I would also appreciate if the discussion of the sale with my suppliers details would come to an end. I'm under no illusions whatsoever that the sale price would not be affected by not supplying supplier details so please can we knock that on the head to as I'm well aware of what is for sale and what isn't and the difference it can make.
Its sounds so simple to some people doesn't it?
No time?
Get someone else to run it?
Get a partner?
Well my decision is to sell up and i would appreciate if people would respect that decision.
Regards
John
