Default Re: Bond-and-co.com selling up

I won't bother commenting on the rights and wrongs, both sides have put their arguments, hopefully something can be sorted to everyones satisfaction.

What I would recommend to anyone looking to deal with a supplier is ask some hard questions to protect themselves, such as what happens if they stop supplying, if supplies fail to materialise etc?

It's understandable to get excited about finding a source for business, but business is also about managing risks as well, there are now a couple of threads recently on the forum which have shown that business comes with plenty of risks associated with it. It is the buyers responsibility to consider such things, just as carefully as if they are importing from an unknown source.

Best of luck with your sale OP and hope your family stays well.

Default Re: Bond-and-co.com selling up

There is no arguments on my behalf.

Its simple I'm selling my website, Ive left no one high and dry.

If people don't like that then tough.

Why all this fuss was made i will never know.

I sold my car a few months ago and no one made a fuss like the comments in this thread.

In regards to Peerielass she joined as a paid member about 2 months ago and her months membership elapsed and was never renewed. As harsh as it may sound I cannot let my decisions be influenced because a member is having a website being made. It was a couple of months ago when it was last mentioned and was hardly still on my mind.

Anyway as a gesture to Peerielass i have let her membership continue for another week which takes her months membership to over 2 months now for no extra cost.

I don't need or have any reason to do that but i have and i find all this talk about giving suppliers details away etc for her inconvenience ridiculous and I'm sure Peerielass will back me up on this realistically.

People who wish to bad mouth and make negative comments in regards to the sale in anyway then please go ahead.

People who have any interest feel free to pm me.

Over the next week products will be taken down from the site. I am thinking about the possibility of supplying 2 suppliers with my website or the possibility of being the supplier myself. None of this is set in stone and may not even happen however its options I'm looking at. To me the main concern the work load, which to be blunt i don't need or really want.

Ill update as necessary.

What you sold your car aswell and never said, your a wealth of information.

I was annoyed as you could have sent an email to inform not just me but the 19(?) other dropshippers, when I paid I said I had a really good feeling about it, and you said the same so I wasn't really thinking you would be selling up before I even got a site ready.

It doesn't matter now, I have another plan, still getting the site done but need to change name ( I will be in touch over the weekend Pete) It's business, take the rough with the smooth and get on with it. "If it's to good to be true it probably is", where have I heard that before?

I probably shouldn't trust my good feelings either, lol

I wish you and your family all the best John

The problem is Andrea that all memberships elapsed over a month ago so to be honest there wasnt any dropshippers to email and inform.

Anyway i do wish you all the best with your website and im sure once its up and running it will be very successful.

Regards

John

Some may say im selling a template and domain but i hope most will see its quite a bit more then that and a good business ready to go.

The dropshipping program itself can be very successful taking in £1800 a month if used correctly "

Without suppliers and substantial proof these words are completely meaningless.
Particularly when your site has only been online less than 9 months....
Ste
Steve, £1800 is very reasonable and defiantley possible. The deisgner bags retail at up to £500, and john never said it was profit

We were also told that the site had no value and in the same post would be told we weren't asking enough. Sale of websites on this forum are just attacked from start to finish.

Good luck with the sale as the design is extremely good.

I don't mean to get into this argument, but i have to say one thing, John, I dont really like how you carry your bussiness. I have been looking at your dropshipping website since day 1. the numbers on those bags have not changed once. who are the dropship members here?? we have contacted you a few times for wholesale initially, but after a couple of emails, you just went disappearing for 2 month without any replies.

During that period of time, you still log onto the website(can see ur latest activity) but just didnt make any posts.

If you really had a baby, congrat...

I am not sheriff, i am fairely new here, i dont post much, i only speak for my experience and observation.
