This is just about as much of a 'textbook' scam as you can get.

Re: Im quite sure hes been scammed
These people are making easy for these scams expecting to get such phones at these prices its just greed that gets us into these situations.
Shame for the guy but he should of asked other peoples opinions first before paying.

Greed overruled common sense, take it on the chin and move on from it.

I wouldn't say it's always greed, but inexperience - it happens to alot of people!
Hope he can pick himself up and move forward from it.

Re: Im quite sure hes been scammed
nope deffinately gree and inexperince, becuase hes said on many occiasins he just wante dot make as much money without spending a lot..
and i keep sayign spendnign very little to gain a lot isnt always the best router as often means a scam is heading your way.
i did a deal with him or tried for 15 units of n97 which would allow him to make a health profit and still be cheaper than retail, but he said no becuae it was too much. yet he was more than happy to shell out near 3k for all those units only to be scammed.

Re: Im quite sure hes been scammed
It is a shame but common sense ought to have said no to that "bargain"
As for couriersolution-limited (doesn't work with the s), they'rer office address they give is cornelius house, church street, hove, then they give warehouse opening times (first they say it's an office, then a warehouse???). Anyway, the address of 178-180 checks out after a quick google search BUT it is only offices, they have accountants, a hairdresser, recruitment agency, builder, letting agents, an architect (you see where I'm going), NO mention of a courer solutions ltd. The site itself was only registered at the beginning of september, using privacyprotect.org to hide their real identity, so if they are so open and honest about their business address on the site, why hide it on whois?
So bottom line - couriersolution-limited should be avoided and maybe you could also name and shame the supplier that your friend used

Re: Im quite sure hes been scammed
Unfortunately this is a all too common occurance, clearly this shows that without thorough knowledge of your target market you should not become involved in this or any other type of wholesale business.
Even just the shred of background work "should" have uncovered these & any other high end phones for that matter cannot be purchased for ridiculous amounts of money, take for example the n97 this guy paid £50 a unit, when the wholesale market rate is more like £350 a unit!
Ive actually gone past the stage where I take pitty on these people who get scammed, 9 times out of 10 its your own fault what with gread & the inability to realise how very easy it is to spot the scammer.
Simple conclusion - NEVER get yourself involved in something you know knothing about just because you see £££ signs because as the old saying says "if its too good to be true it probably is" - Simple

Re: Im quite sure hes been scammed
Any formal company should have a fixed phone number or land line number, and the address should be in office building. Even he delivered 30 more, he should claim it after you get the shipment, rather than a tracking number. The first trade is better via paypal. If using bank transfer, you'll need to tell whether it is a company account. If it belongs to an individual, there is more than 99% chance that he is a scammer.
